Bandits storms Kaduna, abducts renowned journalists and many others

The community of Dahjonu in Millennium city of Chiku Local government was invaded by several bandits and two renowned journalist were abducted amongst many others on Saturday.

Abdul Raheem Abdu of Blueprint Newspaper and the Nation’s Abdulgafar Alabelewe, who is also the present chairman of Correspondent’s Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalist, Kaduna state council were kidnapped with their wives and children.

A witness Taofeeq Olayemi, confirmed that the bandits occupied the area around 10:30pm and non-selectively shot everywhere while exploring their acts.

Olayemi denoted that Alabelewe was abducted with his wife and two of his children, while Audu was kidnapped with his sick wife while leaving their sick daughter behind.

It is also gathered that the burglary of Abdulgafar’s house were removed and doors and windows left in tatters as they entered through the fence and jumped into his house.

As at this moment, all efforts to locate the whereabouts of the captures have proved abortive.
