Tinubu urges Nigerian Army to enhance strategies against Violence organizations

The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu has called on the military group to develop effective counter-terrorism measures against bandits from invading the citizens of the State.

While speaking at the Maxwell Kobe Cantonment in Bassa Local Government Area, Plateau state, during the grand finale of the week-long 2024 Nigeria Army Day Celebration, President Bola Tinubu, who was represented by the Minister of Defence, Mohammed Abubakar, gave the order and included that the purchase of competent equipments and helicopters have been approved for the soldiers to carry out their task effectively.

He further explained that the Nigerian Army remains the cornerstone of the security architecture that would ensure the security of Nigerians on the highways, in the market, on the farm and in their various homes.

Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, The Chief of Army staff, described the week-long celebration as triumphant and praised the president for his guidance and concerns for the Nigerian Army and all Nigerians.
