The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has recently identified and warned about several harmful Android apps that aim to compromise the personal data and privacy of Nigerian users by gaining unauthorized access to their devices and stealing sensitive information.
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has pinpointed four hazardous apps that Android users in Nigeria should steer clear of, and by being mindful of these potential threats and adopting best practices for mobile security, Nigerians can safeguard their devices and personal information from the risk of cyberattacks. These are;
– Crazy Game
– Sexy Videos
– TikToks
– Weapons
These apps are designed to infiltrate devices, steal sensitive information and compromise user privacy. Malicious apps can masquerade as legitimate software, offering attractive features or services to lure unsuspecting users into downloading them. Once installed, these apps can execute harmful activities such as data theft, unauthorized access to personal information and financial fraud and they can also mar ones mind.
