The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly in talks with the Atlanta Hawks to acquire point guard Dejounte Murray, but a deal has yet to materialize. The Hawks are seeking at least two first-round picks in exchange for Murray, who has a 15% trade kicker in his contract.
The Lakers have offered D’Angelo Russell, Jalen Hood Schifino, and a 2029 first-round pick, but the Hawks are hesitant to accept Russell’s contract. With the trade deadline looming, it remains to be seen if the Lakers can find a third team to take on Russell’s contract and facilitate a trade.
