“The inaugural collaboration between NBA luminaries LeBron James and Stephen Curry in international competition was precipitated by a phone conversation in the fall. As Curry recollected, the two longtime rivals discussed the prospect of uniting at the 2024 Paris Olympics, potentially forming the most illustrious assembly of talent in basketball history. Curry revealed that James was the first person he consulted with, inquiring about his interest in participating. The conversation culminated in a decisive moment, with Curry recalling, ‘Let’s get it.’ Notably, despite their impressive individual achievements, Curry, James, and fellow future Hall of Famer Kevin Durant have not yet had the opportunity to represent Team USA together. However, Curry and Durant have previously teamed up to secure gold medals at the 2010 and 2014 World Championships, while James and Durant won gold at the 2012 London Olympics.”
