According to the Peoples Democratic Party National Working Committee, the goal of its current membership registration campaign is to give eligible Nigerians who are keen to join the PDP nationally a chance and access.
PDP National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba made it clear in a statement on Monday that the current memberships are still valid and don’t need to be renewed. Ologunagba clarified that the PDP National Working Committee had received reports of current members in some states being requested to revalidate their membership, which was why the clarification was required. The NWC additionally explains that the membership drive has no bearing whatsoever on the rights, privileges, or membership status of currently enrolled members.

“Therefore, as long as they continue to be legitimate Party members and are not subject to any kind of revalidation, no current member is expected or required to have his or her membership revalidated.”
The PDP asked its executives and members to act appropriately in light of this information, especially in all of the country’s election wards. The statement went on, “The NWC once more recognises the steady stream of millions of Nigerians joining our Party as a result of the ongoing PDP membership drive nationwide. “The PDP calls on all members to stay united in our efforts to fortify our Party even more for the challenges that lie ahead.”
