Stress cannot be easily defined,it is a subjective phenomenon affecting different people in different ways . Stress changes the way our bodies functions,if prolonged can lead to adverse effects on our physical and mental health.

  The adverse effects of long-term stress can be grouped into 5 different areas 

The physical which involves increased blood pressure,the emotion which involves depression, irritability, trouble concentrating,the cognitive and behavior which involves lack of motivation, distorted sleeping (sleeping too little or too much). There are various ways to manage stress

°Keeping positive attitude

°Accepting that there are events beyond control 

° Be assertive instead of aggressiveness 

° Learning to manage time more effectively 

°Spending enough time with loved ones.
