Obafemi Obanigbe becomes the CEO of 9mobile

The 9mobile operating as Emerging Markets Telecommunications service Limited,has appointed Obafemi Banigbe as it’s new Chief executive officer.This announcement is a start of a new ongoing business transformation in the country.Juergen Peshel,the outgoing CEO,said he will continue to supports Banigbe as a consultant.
Banigbe career started at Telecom industry in Celtel known as Airtel Nigeria. He was the Director of operations,he made significant contribution at Ericsson alongside various roles in the Sub Saharan Africa Market unit,and also taking the role of Network Support Group Manager for Access and Transport Network.
He was also the Chief Operation Officer at Milicom Ghana .His journey within the Milicom Ghana gave him important position such as Interim CEO and Chief technical officer for Milicom Ghana and Milicom international cellular Tanzania.
Banigbe experience expanded through different countries such as The United States and several African countries.He was previously the managing partner and co-founder at Silver Rock Technology Services Ghana,a strategic advisory firm specializing in Telecom,Media and Technology Sectors.He also served as a Non Executive Director at Amplitude Telecom,a tower infrastructure provider in Nigeria.
