The Minister of Communication and Digital Economy Bosun Tijani announced a public forum to discuss the National Digital Economy and E-Governance Bill. The event took place at Abuja on Tuesday.
Bosun Tijani said,the forum is to share the contents of the bill and gather input from stakeholders, fostering an inclusive process in it’s development.
According to the Minister, he stated the importance of stakeholders input in shaping digital economy. The Minister said in a statement,” I look forward to the session in Tuesday as we share the contents of the bill and take input from all stakeholders”
The event is expected to bring together media representative, industry expert, government officials to take discussion on the provision of the bills and it’s potential impact on the country’s digital landscape .
The event will mark the beginning of a series of engagement led by the Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrimes, chaired by Senator Salisu Shuaib, and the House Committee on Digital and Information Communication Technology, led by Rep. Adedeji Odidi Omo, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy..
