Indigestion also called dyspepsia or an upset stomach is discomfort in your upper abdomen. Indigestion has symptoms like abdominal pain, feeling of fullness soon after you start eating, bloating, burping, gassiness, nausea etc. And causes could likely be the intake of acidic foods and drinks, tomatoes,onions, carbonated drinks, alcohol, caffeine drinks etc.
Indigestion can also be a symptom of digestive disorders and although it is common each person can experience different types of indigestion in a different manner or ways. Symptoms of indigestion may occur occasionally, often or daily. And it could relieve a person through changes such as environment, lifestyle changes and medications.
Indigestion can be prevented through the intake of herbal teas like chamomile, licorice and ginger and also low fat milk like( oat, flax or almond milk)smoothies, coconut water, and non acidic juices and the avoidance of carbonated and sweetened drinks. This will help prevent indigestion.
Treatments for indigestion,eat foods in small proportion and chew slowly and thoroughly, exercise regularly, managing stress,not eating certain foods, managing a healthy weight and don’t take carbonated drinks.
