A 24 year old tiktoker by the name Edward Awebwa was sentence to six years in Prison for Insulting the President Yoweri Museveni, The First Lady Janet Museveni and the First Son one if his lastest TikTok video.
The charges against him includes hare speech and spreading of misleading and malicious information against the president and his family.
The TikToker, despite pleading for forgiveness, the magistrate Stella Maris Amabiles, notes that the TikToker lack remorse, and shows no sign of regrets. She said “The accused deserve a punishment which will enable him to learn from his past mistake, so that next time he will learn to respect the President, The First Lady and the First Son.
So the TikToker was sentence to Six years in Prison.
