SUPER FALCONS QUALIFY FOR OLYMPICS AFTER YEARS OF ABSENCE

Nearly two decades after their last appearance at the women’s Olympic football Tournament, the super Falcons decides it high time they come back and take the Olympics Glory. The team are poised to fly Nigeria’s flag high in France at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

It is said that the Olympics women football Tournament Paris 2024 will feature 26matches, which has been scheduled to be played from the 25th of July to 10th of August 2024. The last time the Super Falcons played at the Olympics was at the 2008 Beijing Games. Now, after a 16years of absence, the West Africans females are ready to return to the prestigious stage. They have already secured their spot at the Paris Olympics by playing against South Africa and progressing with a 1-0 on aggregate in the fourth round of the qualifying tournament.

As Super Falcons prepares to battle Spain, Japan, and Brazil in the a formidable group C, FIFA offers insight into the super Falcons, who lived up to their nickname by scoring to the last 16 at FIFA women’s world cup. They boasts of no fewer than 11 continental crowns.
