“Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of striker Marc Guiu from FC Barcelona. The 18-year-old Spanish forward has joined the Blues on a five-year contract, with an additional one-year option, after the club activated his £5m release clause.

Guiu expressed his excitement about the move, stating, “It’s an immense honor to join Chelsea and fulfill my dream of playing in the Premier League. I’m eager to work tirelessly to achieve success for the club.

The young striker scored two goals in seven senior appearances for Barcelona last season, attracting interest from top European clubs, including Bayern Munich. Despite efforts to retain him, Barcelona failed to convince Guiu to stay, and Chelsea has secured his signature.

Guiu becomes Chelsea’s third summer signing, following the acquisitions of Omari Kellyman from Aston Villa and Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham. The club is expected to announce its fourth summer signing shortly, with Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall reportedly close to finalizing a move to Stamford Bridge.
