Uniosun Fresher’s Party: A Fun-Filled Welcome to the Semester

The College Executive of Humanities and Culture at Ikire Campus, Uniosun, pulled off an unforgettable welcoming party for freshers on March 1, 2024, at the ETF B building. The event, tagged “Fresher’s Day,” was meticulously planned to create connections, foster a sense of belonging, and kick-start an unforgettable journey for new students.

The executive team left no stone unturned in ensuring the event’s success, creating an exciting lineup of games, music, food, and more. The party commenced at 8:00 pm, drawing in a diverse crowd of freshers and staylites (continuing students) from various campuses. The atmosphere was electric, with students mingling and making new friends.

The celebration showcased a range of activities, including educational games, talent hunts, dance and eating competitions, and thrilling music that got everyone vibing to their favorite artists. The enthusiasm for learning was palpable, making the event a mesmerizing sight to behold. Students showcased their skills, and the audience cheered and clapped along, creating an unforgettable ambiance.

The organizers’ hard work paid off, as the freshers now feel at home on campus. The party was indeed fun and memorable, setting the tone for an excellent start to their college experience. The event demonstrated the college’s commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment, where students can grow academically and personally.

The success of the fresher’s party is a testament to the dedication and creativity of the College Executive of Humanities and Culture. Their efforts have fostered a sense of community and belonging among students, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on their academic journey.

On an interview with some of the fresher’s, they explained and described their enthusiasm wish for a progressive and Excelling start as they look forward to the stress, happiness and challenges that comes their way, while some felt derritmental and nostalgic about it, it is important to note that the College has done their part to ensure the happiness and security of the students.

While being questioned about His plans on campus, 17 years old Abubakar Ahmed states “I feel so much enthusiasm because I successfully gained admission into this great institution, and I for once promised I won’t jeopardize the opportunity to make a difference and change my life for the better, I’m here to make my stay a memorable, thrilling and exciting one definitely succeeding academically by burning the midnight candle of course”, He commented.
