Real Madrid has confirmed the sale of Spain striker Joselu to Qatari Al-Gharafa, on the 28th of June 2024 activating a clause in his loan deal, after he scored twice against Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.
Real Madrid has secured a deal with Al-Gharafa to transfer Joselu from Espanyol, following the activation of their option to sign the player.
Joselu’s loan clause was estimated at 1.5 million euros ($1.6 million), and Madrid sold him for the same amount, with Espanyol refusing to allow him to move to Qatar.
Real Madrid’s 34-year-old striker, often used as a substitute, has scored 18 times in 49 appearances.
Joselu and Nacho Fernandez, both part of Spain’s Euro 2024 squad, have signed deals with Saudi Arabian Al-Qadsiah after ending their Real Madrid contracts.
