Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, has faulted the actions of Nigerians who shared false information, claiming veteran actor Olu Jacobs was dead. The rumours of Jacobs’ death had earlier spread online on Sunday without official confirmation.Henshaw, who is also the Director of Communications for the Actors Guild of Nigeria, wrote on X.com, “I’m shocked and dismayed by your persistent posting of RIP messages about a person who is still alive and well, year after year.”
You do this to this great man and his family all the time! It is all shades of wrong! Stop, for goodness sake! Uncle Olu Jacobs is alive!”Henshaw responded that some individuals had begun calling Joke, the wife of Olu Jacobs, to inquire about the false news, when asked about its source on X.com.Who knows? And no one will bother to confirm? Imagine people calling Aunty Joke up and down! Haba!” she exclaimed.PUNCH Online earlier reported that a Nigerian columnist, Betty Irabor, similarly debunked the news of his death.Olu Jacob is well and alive. Please ignore all rumours of his passing. He is alive, please,” she said.
