At Glastonbury Festival, SZA’s Sunday night performance on the Pyramid Stage received a mixed reaction. Following Dua Lipa and Coldplay’s impressive sets, the US R&B star had big shoes to fill. Despite her popularity and captivating stage presence, SZA’s performance failed to resonate with the audience, drawing the smallest crowd for a Glastonbury headliner in over 20 years.

Technical issues with her microphone during the first half hour of her set didn’t help, making it difficult for the audience to connect with her lyrics and vocal performance. SZA’s lack of engagement with the crowd was also noticeable, only briefly acknowledging her “day one” fans.Although some fans left to watch other performances, SZA’s set was not without its highlights. Her powerful vocals shone during her emotional ballad “Nobody Gets Me,” which resonated deeply with her young audience. While SZA’s performance may not have lived up to expectations, her talent and dedication to her craft were still evident.
