The incident caused chaos in the area, prompting shopkeepers along the road and traders at the Ehere market to close their shops, with some abandoning their wares in search of safety.
The Reporters reported earlier how the gunmen opened fire into the air at the military checkpoint at obikabia junction in aba,Abia state on May 30.
The terrorists, who also burnt down the soldiers’ patrol car, were allegedly enforcing the curfew imposed by IPOB across the country in the South East region to mark Biafra Day, which is celebrated annually in the region.
