The Yoruba National Youths, both in Nigeria and abroad, are determined to continue their fight for an independent Yoruba nation, separate from Nigeria. They reject the stance of the Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE), which supports the government’s plan for restructuring and regionalism.
The youths believe that the elders are misinformed and naive about the issues at hand. They accuse them of being “sell-outs” and enemies of the Yoruba people. The youths are adamant that they want a sovereign Yoruba nation, free from Nigeria, and will not settle for anything less.
They argue that the Yoruba people have suffered enough under the current system and that it’s time for them to have their own country, where they can determine their own fate and develop their land without interference. They cite the example of the Fulani people, who they claim want to take over all the lands in Nigeria.
The youths are supporting Professor Banji Akintoye, a prominent advocate for Yoruba self-determination, who shares their vision for an independent Yoruba nation. They believe that this is the only way to achieve true progress and development for the Yoruba people.
In essence, the Yoruba National Youths are saying:

  • We want an independent Yoruba nation, separate from Nigeria.
  • We reject the idea of restructuring and regionalism.
  • We believe the Yoruba Council of Elders is misinformed and against the progress of the Yoruba people.
  • We support Professor Banji Akintoye’s vision for an independent Yoruba nation.
  • We want to determine our own fate and develop our land without interference.

They are determined to continue their fight for self-determination, despite the opposition from the Yoruba Council of Elders and the government.
