The provider of Nigeria’s Satellite Communication infrastructure has partnered with Hotspot ,a technology company to give solutions to connectivity in the rural areas in Nigeria and for effectively use and for them to have access to the internet across the country.
According to the Organization, they targets the strategic collaboration to send out cutting edge satellite technology and innovative solutions to connectivities that has been a major problem to people in the rural area that cannot have access to browse the internet. The partnership between NIGCOMSAT and Hotspot now came when the both now sought to make use of their satellite infrastructure and Hotspot expertise to unlock new opportunities for socio economic development in the rural area across the country.
The Managing Director and CEO of NIGCOMSAT, Jane Egerton-Idehe in her statement she said that’s at NIGCOMSAT are willing to make use of their technology capabilities to make the settings for digital transformation and to improve and help the lives of Nigerians, most especially people who are living in a remote place where there no satellite connectivity or internet connections. NIGCOMSAT collab with Hotspot in dedication in order to connect the unconnected and to make sure they do the needful to some rural places or to ensure no community is left behind in this digital age where everybody can have access to internet that’s everything is easy now. Not that some remote places will be so dark to this system of technology,the organization wish to innovate and development socio economic growth across the country to effectively and strategically enhance and utilize the capabilities of the technology.
The Managing Director and CEO of NIGCOMSAT also mentioned that Hotspot aligned with NIGCOMSAT and they signed an agreement with the commitment to enhance the coverage of the satellite communications services across and beyond Nigeria. He also said that NIGCOMSAT limited provides the communication of satellite services all over African countries ,some parts in the Europe countries and some parts in the Asia countries too while Hotspot Networking limited is just one-stop use internet shop for networking and telecommunication needs at a particular time where you can easily browse internet as you like.
He added that the project on connectivity in the rural areas was in partnership with Universal Service Provision Fund, targeting many rural communities in Nigeria with services delivered via the NigComSat-1R Ka Band Platform.
The CEO of Hotspot Networking limited, Engineer Morenikeji Aniye,show much interests to partner with NIGCOMSAT and they are happy to work deligently alongside with NIGCOMSAT with their main objective missions is to connect to the unconnected by combining their expertise and resources, they will be able to create solutions that can be reliable and for affordable access to internet to people in the rural communities and also empower them and development them to participate fully in the digital economy.
