On Wednesday, a 60-year old retired teacher was charged in the Children, Sexual and Gender-based Violence Offences Court in Akwa for allegedly molesting two boys.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Chineyere Okechukwu told the court that the offence contradicts the provisions of Section 197 of criminal code cap. 36 Vol.11 of the Revised Law of Anambra State of Nigeria,1999 as amended.
The accused,however, pleaded not guilty to the charge. The Chief Magistrate,Mrs Genevieve Osakwe, admitted the accused to #200,000 bail with one surety in like sum.
