He was a middle-aged man who graduated from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic,State University and a betting agent in the Imala area of Abeokuta,the state capital by a policemen.
According to the police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, all those involved have been called for an investigation.
According to the gathered information, Anuoluwapo, the victim operated a Bet9ja shop in front of one popular hotel in that area and he was closing for the day when he was shot dead.
It was also said that one of the officers, who were known at the hotel, got drunk, and shortly after this incident, a bullet was accidently released by that officer into the boy. One other witness stated that the policemen were either on raid or are chasing a criminal when one of them accidentally killed the deceased, Anuoluwapo,a.k.a Pepe.
Further investigation revealed that officers made their way into the hotel opposite the Bet9ja shop without wasting time and called for back up to give them time to escape from the scene of the incident.
From that same eyewitness, it was also learnt that the officers and the backup during their flight intermittently shot just to cover their way.
In reaction to the development, the policesperson stated that the police commissioner in the state Abiodun Alamutu has conversed with all stake holders contacts for initiating an enquiry.
There are reports that suggest that Aanu was one of the victims. The details as to what exactly transpired are not easy to come by, but the stakeholders are in constant touch with the Commissioner of Police. He has invited all those concerned so as to initiate an investigation, Odutola stated.
