UNIVERSITY STUDENT FOUND DEAD AFTER CHURCH VIGIL

A student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, (CAAUAA) Modupe Ayandare in Ondo State,was found dead on Monday after she went for a church vigil.

The death of Miss Modupe Ayandare,who is of the Department of Agronomy was made known by the Students’ Union of the institution . “We pour out our mind in strong terms our inconvenient and pain with respect and honour to the death of our students,Miss Modupe Ayandare of the Department of Agronomy.

“According to the report been brought out,the deceased was said to have committed suicide in the early hours of the day at about 4:00 am,after she returned from a vigil in her church. “The incident happened beside the church she attended, around spotless villa.

“The law enforcement agency has been informed and be been told already,and all hands are on deck to get to the root of the issue. “Be rest assured that justice will be served on the issue and the law enforcement agency will undertake a thorough investment on the matter,”Emmanuel Olaogbebikan,the Public Relations Officer(PRO)of the students union, mentioned. He asked anybody with useful information concerning the occurrence to give to the concerned authorities to step forward.

Also mourning the death of the student,the Nigerian Association of Agricultural Students(NAAS),AAUA Chapter,said the death of that student deeply affected the department. Likewise,the public relations of department,Faith Igba,said the demise of Miss Ayandare was a profound loss to the department.

Mr Igba urged members of the department to come together and help one another,asking those who going through challenges to seek help. Doing this difficult time,we urged everyone to come together in each other’s support. The mental well being of our members is of hut most important and we encourage anyone who may be struggling to seek help.

Our faculty offers counselling services and we are here to support you anywhere we can “Please join me in extending our deepest condolences to Comrade Modupe’s family,friends and colleagues. ” Let us honour her memory by fostering a compasionate and supportive environment for all”,he said.

Speaking to the news agency of Nigeria now on the death of Ayandare, Mr Victor Akinpelu, the Public Relations Officer of the institution said that the institution has confirmed the incident but was yet to know the cause of the death. Akinpelu who sympathise with the family of the deceased told NAN that the institution would make an official statement to the public as regards the death later
