8,000 Nigeria Youth with creative industry skills said to be empowered by Google

Africa creative industries initiative join hand with Google to establish the second cohort of the Engage Nigeria Programme with their mission to give 8,000 Nigerian youth with creative development and entrepreneurship knowledge with just a starting point in their lives ,with just 8,000 Nigerians with some creative skills.
For the record,Google released part of the Skill Sprint Programme launched in Year 2023 where they provided digital skills training for 20,000 Nigerian’s women and youth. The primary function or mission of this programme is to benefit 6,000 creatives across Nigeria with offering comprehensive training like musics production and business,event planning and management, cinematography and videography, animination, graphics design and content creation.
The purpose of the Engage Programme in Nigeria is to support the development and growth of Nigerian’s creativity skills which has been a significant impact across the globe and any participant would be compensate and would receive a mentorship with industry professionals and networking opportunities with the industry leader. The programme is to help the participants skills and knowledge to excel in every various creative disciplines.
In the mean time ,the first cohort of the programme said to have saw over 2,200 participants received mentorships and some valuable training, the second cohort is even bigger than the first one where there are expansion of reach and different partnerships.
It was illustrated that the expansion in the cohort was with the partnerships with GOYF community DigiTech Hub,making some foundation at the Eti Osa community in Lagos, Nigeria. A member of the Lagos State Assembly representing Eti Osa Constituency 02 and also a key and important supporter of the programme,Gbolahan Yishawu said he is happy that their collaboration with the Creative Industries Initiative For Africa (C.I.I.F.A) has brought Engage Programme to their Constituency.
He further stated that the programme and partnerships will open their eyes to so many things and will give them the opportunities for the youth with their critical skills to make use it for some effective and excel in creative industry. It is a great process of this programme in Eti Osa Constituency 02 tends to innovate economic growth in the country.
The founder of Creative Industries Initiative For Africa ( C.I.I.F.A) , Godwin Tom said their purpose is to empower the next generation of creative professionals in Africa with their collaboration with GOYF community DigiTech Hub to reach out to the young talents in Eti Osa Constituency 02 to showcase their talents and providing them tools and knowledge to succeed in life. He praised the Google organization for making this possible for them .
