The house of representative is taking a strong manner on the ascending cost of cement in Nigeria, summoning Dangote cement’s management to appear before it and explain the reason for price increase.
With the country’s economic condition worsening, lawmakers are fed up with cement manufacturer’s “exploitation” of Nigerians.They have given Dangote cement a final ultimatum. Show up and justify the price hike or face arrest and prosecution
The legislative chamber has also authorize the cement Manufacturer Association of Nigeria and the Central Bank of Nigeria to emerge before it, to find solutions to the skyrocketing cement prices.
Lawmakers are determined to defend Nigeria citizen from what they call “exploitation by cement Manufacturer” the battle line has been drawn_will dangote cement comply or face the consequences.
