Gen-Z refers to those born between 1996 and 2010, the next generation of individuals. These people, primarily youths, are self-expressive and entrepreneurial in character.

Furthermore, a large proportion of them are social media junkies; a typical Nigerian Gen-Z lives, breathes, and probably dreams on social media platforms like as Tik Tok, Instagram, Twitter, Snap Chat, and many more.

Because Gen Z enjoys online discovery more than older trends, many of them prefer seeking inspiration for fashion trends online.

For Nigerian Gen-Z, fashion is all about bold and vibrant hues. Gen-Z fashion trends are a mash-up of old and contemporary styles, blending comfort and cool looks with bold statements.

Low-rise jeans, cargo pants, baggy pants and ripped jeans are the most popular Gen-Z clothing styles.

Their fashion language includes oversized t-shirts with big phrases emblazoned on them.

Additionally, Gen-Z like wearing crop tops and denim jackets.

Gen-Z men and women also enjoy dying their hair in unusual colours such as gold, green, wine, and red.

In addition, both men and women have taken up the trend of nose rings, multiple ear piercings, and belly piercings.

Furthermore, Gen-Z men and women are challenging traditional gender stereotypes, with men painting their nails, wearing jewellery, and carrying purses. In contrast, the women are now dressed in loose trousers, sweatpants, and bulky sneakers.

Finally, as a Generation Zer, how do you dress? Do you believe your current fashion and style represent Gen-Z audiences? If not, are you willing to launch a new digital fashion trend?
