Many Muslim women choose to cover their heads with the hijab as a sign of identification, piety, and modesty. It stands for a woman’s dedication to her modesty, humility, and religion.

The hijab is a modest garment that is divinely mandated for Muslim women in order to protect them from sexual assault.

The headscarf is an Arabic word that means “veil” or “cover.” With origins in Arabian and Middle Eastern traditions, the hijab has been worn by Muslim women for centuries.

Due to the influence of local and cultural customs, it has changed over time. The hijab is now a representation of Islamic unity and identity.

There are different types of hijab, Khimar: A long, flowing scarf that covers the hair, neck, and shoulders. Hijab: a square or rectangle scarf that covers the hair and neck.

Niqab: A full-face veil that leaves only the eyes visible. Burqa: A full-body covering that includes a headscarf, veil, and cloak.

Finally, hijab-inspired designs and styles are increasingly popular. Modern fashion is a growing industry catering to hijab-wearing women. Hijabs now come in various colours, patterns, and styles.
