The movie title from AJEGUNLE to Forbes , one could easily guess what the movie is about and the idea behind it.The short film by a Nigerian Fashion designer, Ruth Erikan James popularly known as Veekee James was said to be a Grass to Grace story of Veekee James encapsulated the struggle of a young lady trying to pursue her dreams and going for what she wants regardless.
In this movie, Veekee James played the lead character named Kokonma , a lady with passion for her skill gets pressured by her African mum to return back to school which she initially failed at. Her mum believes she would only become successful when she gives education a second chance.
Amidst her mothers insistence and never ending comparison with other children who made it successful with education, Kokonma insisted on her decision to follow her dreams and passion and therefore, convinced her mother to believe in her and promised to give education a chance when she starts making good income with her skill.
Kokonma was able to monetize her skill and therefore got a bigger space for her business, with her resilient spirit and passion driven zeal combined with hard work and consistency, Kokonma was able to write her name in the SANDS OF TIME.The movie is a testament that the only thing that can stop you from achieving your dreams is YOU. Giving up is never an option. Also, remember nothing is too hard for GOD.
