Moving towards bridging the digital divide, TD Africa has announced its partnership with Elon Musk’s Starlink to bringing Starlink Mini Dish to Nigerian market.
The biggest technology product distributor in Africa said in a statement that the collaboration target at democratizing internet access, providing high-speed connection to even the most rural areas.
According to the company, Starlink, SpaceX’s satellite internet constellation project, has been a game-changer in the world of global internet connection. It also stated the introduction of a mini dish, a compact and a more affordable version of the standard Starlink dish promised to further expand its reach and impact.
TD Africa said the main aim was set to change the digital landscape across Africa, ensuring that underserved and rural communities gain access to reliable and fast internet services. And ever since TD Africa brought Starlink into the Nigerian market, the company has trapped the public’s interest with its universal satellite service.
PUNCH also reported that Elon Musk’s internet company, Starlink came in as Nigeria’s third-largest ISP by subscriber number in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2023.
