The CEO of Mavins Records and well-known music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, commonly known as Don Jazzy, has refuted rumours that Divine Okubor Rema’s deal with one of the top record companies in Nigeria will end.

There have been rumours circulating that Rema had split from Mavins and its offshoot, Jonzing World, under the management of D’Prince, Don Jazzy’s brother.

Don Jazzy made a subdued statement regarding Rema’s alleged departure from Mavins Records in a recent online post. With the title “Mavins in Paris,” Don Jazzy shared a picture of Rema and him with Tega Oghenejobo, the Chief Operating Officer of Mavins.

Despite Don Jazzy’s dismissal of the claims, some internet users questioned Rema’s involvement with the Mavins label.

In other events, social media recently saw Nigerian music executive Michael Collins Ajereh, better known by his stage name Don Jazzy, make waves after a video emerged of him appearing agitated. The rapidly rising online musician Layi Wasabi was observed being reprimanded by the record label’s owner. The Mavin CEO threatened to beat the comic during the altercation, which is when the viral video began.

It is recorded that Don Jazzy told Layi Wasabi, “I will beat you.” After yelling at Layi, Don Jazzy swiftly left the scene, leaving the person who created the skit and others in the audience. But given that there are cameras visible in the backdrop of the film, it looks like the interaction is just a brief scene from a skit.
