Reactions to Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham’s recent announcement that she intends to sue cyber bullies who defame her online have been mixed.
Abraham said in a live session that she has been bullied on social media to the point that she is ready to fight back and make sure the attackers are held accountable. After a user on X accused her of having jailed his mother and urged the actress to arrest everyone on the platform, she took a bold stand.
Toyin stated that, in her capacity as a concerned citizen, she never arrested the mother of anyone, simply reported a cybercrime. She tried to stop the online harassment, but it persisted, and she became more and more irate. She said that numerous people had been hired to harass her online and even to threaten her family.
Concerned internet users have expressed a range of emotions in response to her news.

The actress replied, “You can abuse me and call me names; it is fine, and as I said, I will accept and take it in cos I’m in the public eyes, but cursing my kids and lying is what I won’t accept, and lastly I NEVER and will NEVER arrest anyone’s mum. I made a report on cybercrime as a citizen.
