Global Menstrual Hygiene Day: Sista Circle Leads Awareness Campaign at People’s Girl Grammar School

Ibadan, Nigeria – In commemoration of Global Menstrual Hygiene Day, a women only group by the name “Sista Circle” organized a visit to People’s Girl Grammar School in Molete, Ibadan to promote Menstrual awareness and hygiene. The group led by Agbeni Nancy donated cartons of sanitary pads to the students. During the event, Agbeni Nancy educated the students on menstruation, dispelling the common stigmas and misconceptions surrounding menstruation. The students were also engaged in an interactive question-and-answer session, rewarding correct answers with gifts and cash prizes.

The educative session covered important topics such as calculating menstrual cycles, proper hygiene practices and debunking harmful myths.This initiative not only provided essential menstrual products but also empowered the students with confidence, a positive perspective and knowledge on menstruation. The students and faculty of People’s Girls Grammar School expressed their gratitude to Sista Circle for the informative and engaging session. The event served as a testament to the power of collective action in promoting menstrual hygiene and awareness
