OgarThe Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, Godwin Ogar, has proposed dedicating 1% of the consolidated revenue to combat AIDS, TB, and malaria. He also recommended restructuring the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) into a multi-sector agency to manage resources for the campaign against HIV & AIDS. Ogar emphasized the importance of robust budgetary allocations to HIV & AIDS and legislators’ involvement in program development for community ownership and understanding. The goal is to end HIV/AIDS as a public health threat by 2030.
