In an effort to support families of patients receiving care in Lagos, the Rotary Club in Ikeja GRA has generously provided a 36-bed apartment to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital in Ikeja.

This donation marks LASUTH as the first public hospital in Lagos State to offer accommodation for the families of hospitalized patients, as highlighted by Prof. Adetokunbo Fabamwo, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital.

The Rotary Club’s initiative aims to address the accommodation challenges faced by families and relatives when their loved ones are receiving medical treatment at the hospital. The club recognized the difficulty families encounter, with many having to resort to sleeping on the hospital floors or in their cars due to the lack of available accommodations within the hospital premises.

Additionally, nearby hotels are often too costly for most families, further emphasizing the importance of this donation in providing much-needed support during challenging times.
