Nigeria is set to participate in the 60th International Art Exhibition of the Vernice Biennacle in 2024, marking its second appearance at this prestigious event.

The Nigerian Pavilion, curated by Aindrea Emelife, will feature a group exhibition titled “Nigeria Imaginary,” exploring different perspectives on Nigeria’s potential and cultural history.

The selected artists include Tunji Adeniyi-Jones, Ndidi Dike, Onyeka Igwe, Toyin Ojih Odutola, Abraham Oghobase, Precious Okoyomon, Yinka Shonibare CBE RA, and Fatimah Tuggar.

The pavilion will be presented in a historic palazzo in Dorsoduro, Venice, near the Gallerie dell’Accademia, and will be open from April 20 to November 24, 2024.

This initiative aligns with the vision of the Edo State Government, which aims to promote socio-cultural and economic development through art and tourism in Nigeria.
